Diy Hydrangea Crafted Garland

Updated: Feb 26, 2023

Spring makes me think of warmer weather and flowers! I am so ready for spring. Easter is on its way and I have a easy craft that will save you lots. I decided I needed some Garland for my mantle but could easily spend up towards thirty to fifty dollars for one. I knew I didn't want to do that so I headed to the dollar tree for ideas. I decided to pick up two plain garlands with only leaves.

I then remembered I just bought two big boxes of flowers on clearance at Michaels craft store for little to nothing. I think I saved over $700 per box , and that's a crazy amount of savings. This whole project was going to cost me no more than $4 if that.

This craft is so easy. Supplies Needed:

2 leaf garlands sold at dollar tree

3 bunches of flowers from dollar tree or use some you already have

1 pair of craft wire cutters

First remember to always be looking for clearance craft items you think you may use in the future. You save so much money making your own instead of buying them already made and you benefit from making it the exact way you like it. Some times these savings you come across help you in the long run.

Start by clipping the flowers with the stem off. You will then start at the far end by wrapping the flower stems one by one around the garland with the leaves until you get to the end spreading them out ever so far apart. Once you get to the end you will then rotate the last flower going the opposite direction at the end, this will keep the stem from sticking out.

I decided to go with white flowers since I have black shelves beside my Mantle. My décor colors in my Livingroom area are mostly black in white with gold accents and a touch of green.

I decided to add a string of battery operated lights, there is just something about lighting up a dark room at night and making the room cozy and comforting ambiance.

Now you have a very inexpensive garland for your mantle or anywhere you would like to

decorate with it.
